What is Hypnotherapy and how does a session look like?
I know that when you struggle with anxiety, panic attacks, or overthinking, it’s natural to want to know everything — what, how, and when. So here’s how a typical hypnotherapy session for anxiety works:
First, we meet for an Online Discovery Call. This is a chance for us to get to know each other and to see if hypnotherapy for anxiety feels like the right fit for you. If it does, we schedule your session — either online or in my office in Denmark. Online works just as effectively.
During the first meeting, we talk in detail about your situation. We explore your anxiety patterns, including symptoms, habits, and triggers. This usually takes about 60 minutes.
Next, we move on to the hypnotherapy session itself. I don’t “hypnotize” you like in the movies — you’re fully in control the whole time (and no, you won’t start clucking like a chicken!:). Instead, I guide you into a deep state of relaxation, helping your nervous system calm and your mind open to change.
Within 2–3 working days after your session, you’ll receive a personalized, tailored audio hypnosis. Listening to this audio every day for 21 days is important because it reinforces the new patterns, helps your nervous system settle more deeply, and supports lasting change in your anxiety and thought patterns.
From there, we explore where and how anxiety developed, and what purpose it has been serving. By understanding its roots, your mind and body can experience real shifts, allowing you to release anxiety more easily.
